The Requirements of a software system represent the basis of a test strategy design as well as the specification of appropriate test cases. They must be complete, unambigous (i. e. without room for interpretation) and testable

In this context testability means that from the description of the requirements the software system reaction after possible inputs can clearly be identified.

The complete modeling of testable requirements for functional and non functional quality characteristics are therefore a basic prerequisite for a significant test.

Our review of your specification documents verifies the basic prerequisite for a successful test preparation and test execution.

Approach

We check your test basis on completeness, unambiguousness and testability regarding the required quality characteristics. The examination will be done on base of a checklist composed of practical experience and theoretical background. Of course, the verification of completeness can only be done on the basis of the submitted documents and exclusively concerning aspects relevant for testing.

We document the results of our review in a review minutes formulating optimization suggestions for each item. In a workshop we discuss these minutes and aggregate the results in a plan of action to eliminate the insufficiencies.

If desired we verify the implementation of the plan of action in a separate meeting and coordinate supplements and modification of the plan if necessary.
